Thorninn Sean is the Chief Executive Officer of Forte Laos. Thorninn has about 20 years’ experience in banking and financial sectors, spearheading business and operations of various insurance companies, commercial banks and financial institutions. His focus covers a wide spectrum of the organization’s business and operations ranging from managing business development, virtual banking & payment business, agency business, sales & marketing, branch expansion, and funds raising.
Thorninn is also well-known as a master trainer, business coach, and public speaker in the areas of financial management and investment analysis, sales management, business operation management and leadership.
Thorninn holds a Master’s in Risk Management in Finance, Banking, and Insurance (RMBFI) from University de Nantes, France, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cambodia.
Raymond Lim is Chief Operating Officer for Forte Laos.
Raymond is responsible for overseeing the operational activities within the company and to implement best business practices to surpass customers’ satisfaction. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he is also an advisory board member of the Lao Insurance Association.
Raymond has over 40 years of experience in the general insurance industry. He was attached to two major general insurance companies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as senior manager for Underwriting and Claims. He was also the general manager of a leading general insurance company in Brunei Darussalam before joining Toko Jaya Lao Assurance in 2014, which was acquired by Forte in 2018.
Raymond is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurer.
Hiroki Okamoto (Oka) is Chief Business Officer in Forte Laos and heads up the Japanese regional business in Cambodia. Hiroki joined Forte in 2018 and moved to Laos upon Forte’s acquisition of the former Toko Jaya Lao Assurance business. He established the Japanese desk at Forte and became the first resident-based insurance specialist for Japanese clients in the history of general insurance in Laos. Within 4 years of operation, he was successful in growing the business to achieve top market share of the Japanese insurance market in Laos. Hiroki’s career first started at Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ Co.,Ltd in 2010. He gained extensive experience in corporate banking for listed companies, especially for project financing, syndicated loans, and bridging finance for mergers & acquisitions as a relationship manager.
Hiroki holds a BA in History - majoring in African oral history - at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA.
