Forte's Community Contribution
A strong sense of corporate social responsibility has always compelled Forte to give something back to the neighbourhood in which we live. In our various roles including investor, insurer, employer and consumer to the local and international community, we recognized our responsibility to work in partnership with the communities in which we operate. We believe contributing to the development and success of these communities is a fundamental part of our success.
We have been actively participating and sponsoring community programs in Cambodia since inception. Forte is currently the principal supporter of a Japanese NGO, OISCA Cambodia. OISCA is a NGO in a consultative status of UN Economic and Social Council and have so far initiated the Children's Forest Program, a unique tree-planting campaign utilizing school systems to instill in children the importance of a sustainable environment.

OISCA also donated used clothing for relief from Japan to the Samdech Rasmi Sobbhana Women's Foundation in March 2001 for the distribution to less fortunate people suffered during a flood that year. In April that same year, OISCA donated 150 cartons of clothing materials to the Royal Government of
Cambodia to other flood victims around the country.
On 13 March 2006, OISCA International signed an MOU with the Cambodia Ministry of Environment. The MOU is to facilitate mangrove rehabilitation in degraded areas in Peam Krasaop Wildlife Sanctuary, Koh Kong Province on the land of 35 hectares. The MOU was signed between OISCA Cambodia Chairperson, Mr Charles Cheo and Mr. Chay Samith, Director of Department Natural Conservation and Protection.

Apart from its participation in OISCA, Forte too embarked in other humanitarian projects. In 2000, Forte donated clothing and USD 15,000 to the Queen's Foundation and the Cambodian Red Cross for flood relief victims. An active proponent of education for the youth, Forte has also assisted in
building classrooms for school children in Siem Reap province.
